1/23/2013 Follow Up Post

Looks like the surgeon, who just happened to be in the building, is this cat.  Dr. Roy is sending Memaw/Mom/Sybil to get a Petscan and another scan which decorum prevents me from typing here.  He thinks that they may be able to do the surgery first then follow with 6 chemotherapy treatments and skip the pre-surgery treatments.  The new images will dictate the protocol.  The cancer is of the carcinoma variety.  That might be it as far as updates but stay tuned.

P.S.  The chemo will probably result in some baseball cap wearing but shouldn't make her sick.

  5. Sybil, I have been in South Carolina and just got back last night and learned of your appointment today. Please know that I will continue to pray each day for you as you have always done for me when I coveted your prayers. You are truly a prayer warrior and I'll never forget how much you helped me and prayed with me during our loss of our little Gracie. I know you will keep the faith and whatever I can do in "any" way to help you while you get through this, please let me know. We have truly missed you in our Senior Sounds group. As you know, my favorite song, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow", is what I'm claiming for you now...for you don't know about tomorrow, but you know who holds your hand!!!! Love you, Rose

  9. My hair started falling out 2weeks after 1st chemo treatment so I just shaved it off. Been wearing hats, scarves and wigs since July. No big deal. American cancer society in Mobile has wigs they will give you. I got 1 from them and bought 2 others. If you have any questions I will be happy to talk with you and Tracey. Have a good attitude and you will do fine. Gwen
